Thanks for the memories

TO EDITH from Washington State, thank you for the note on the "early days" when there was only 2 or 3 different flavours, but you've forgotten that in those days it was for home use and your grandma as mine did, was making then for we kids when we came over and you couldn't buy a muffin in a shop for "love nor money".

Today, of course you have so much to compete with and variety has certainly become the "buy" word. We, in our wholesale bakery, ended up supplying the grandma's with a variety of product and the kidlets thought it was grandma's home made muffin anyway!

Happy baking
Jenny

Scandinavian food is exciting and best of all it appeals to the eye and appetite of all who partake. And an absolute must...

“Water of life” translated as Akvavit. Akvavit is to the Scandinavians what vodka is to the Russians and whisky is to the Scots.

A sip of Akvavit followed by a beer chaser and accompanied by a herring, Gravlox or eel and it goes on and on.....

Tradition, Tradition, Tradition!! All is Tradition.

Come and join us and indulge in these pages of recipes from Scandinavia, that have been tried and true in my restaurant, enjoyed by “Scandinavians” from all over the world, and you will agree that the world is made up of 2 types of people, “Scandinavians and those who Wish To Be”

ENJOY!

Jenny
